My first role out of college that catalyzed what will undoubtedly be a lifelong love of sales. Went toe to toe with the best negotiators in the world within private equity and investment banking.
Studiously was a way for students to commercialize their notes, providing condensed summaries of lectures, textbook chapters, and additional class readings to their classmates.
My second entrepreneurial venture. Made over six figures in three semesters. Considered focusing on it full-time after college but wasn't excited enough about the opportunity.
Humin was an intelligent contact management application backed by Richard Branson and acquired by Tinder in March 2016. Worked closely with Humin's CEO and serial entrepreneur Ankur Jain.
Worked as a Director of Growth, serving as a brand ambassador and guerilla marketer to grow Humin's presence on college campuses.
Part-time work in strategy & special projects working with Techstars portfolio companies. Spent the majority of my time working with Jimmy Odom, the CEO of WeDeliver, which was a last mile delivery application that was acquired by Deliv in June 2015.
We partnered on strategic projects to increase customer lifetime value, optimize unit economics, and expand to new geographies.
Glass-U is a contract manufacturer and e-commerce retailer of licensed fashion products for brands such as Lollapalooza, South by Southwest, FIFA, and the NCAA.
I worked with Glass U's CEO Dan Fine on growth strategy and guerrilla marketing initiatives, increasing sales on college campuses by 3x within a year.
In College, I had a multi-year part time gig working with Teach for America, an organization that places highly capable college students as teachers within low-income neighborhoods across the country.
This was my first sales experience, where I cultivated relationships with public school principals to find openings for TFA teachers. During my second summer, I led a team of interns that were responsible for 75% of all teacher placements (150 placements).
TutorSitter allowed parents to hire qualified babysitters that doubled as tutors, while providing a way for high school students to increase their babysitting rates by tutoring kids on the job.
This was my first real entrée into entrepreneurship. In high school, I tutored while I babysat, and connected my friends with parents in our network to do the same.
